Briefly describe what you do in your role with GTCF
A member of the Ambassador Committee.
What is the most exciting part of your role with GTCF?
Being part of an organization that continues to lead community-wide collaborations, investing in solutions and finding ways to engage those impacted by key issues. I am always grateful for the emphasis on equity and justice in all they do.
What other jobs or positions have you held?
Executive Director of several non-profits from AIDS Housing Association to Hilltop Artists and Symphony Tacoma
Outside of GTCF, what enjoyable activity do you engage in? What brings you joy?
The beauty of human creativity in all its forms and being surrounded by the natural world.
What activity, place, or event do you recommend other people check out in Pierce County?
Our amazing museums!! And of course, Point Defiance Park.
What is the most inspiring book that you have read and why?
Parting the Waters: America in the King Years. It radically changed my understanding of racism in America, and the nature of the civil rights movement. Deeply humbling and inspiring.
