GTCF Planned Giving Webinar Series Provides Valuable Insights for Local Nonprofits
Planned giving can be a key source of sustainable funding for charities and nonprofits, but developing a strategy to pursue and maintain planned gifts can be challenging. It’s critical to start with an understanding of what motivates donors to make planned gifts, as well as a knowledge of the variety of vehicles donors can use to make them. Did you know…
- Donors are often more motivated to give when they and the community benefit from the work of the nonprofit
- There are numerous vehicles through which donors can set up planned gifts including: Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Unitrust, and Donor Advised Funds
- Planned gifts typically produce larger deductions that annual gifts so they may be a good fit for donors looking to save on taxes
These are some of the insights shared during GTCF’s free monthly webinar series on planned giving. The webinars are presented live in our office through PG Calc, a leading provider of planned giving software and consulting services. After each webinar, there is time for questions and sharing ideas about how to apply the information locally. Coffee and snacks are provided and participants can earn CFRE and CFP credits as well.
“I’ve learned a lot I didn’t know about blended gifts and the variety of possibilities for planned giving. It’s really opened my eyes to ways of giving beyond a simple bequest.”
– Cassandra de Kanter, Steilacoom Historical Museum Association
“I highly recommend anyone working in planned giving to take advantage of the PG Calc webinar series offered by GTCF. The webinars help keep you up to date on planned giving strategies and trends. They also give you an opportunity to network with local colleagues. It is great to get out of the office and learn collectively!” – Kelly Merry, Franke Tobey Jones
